Hard Korr Campers Tested in Tassie

We all know that 4WD TV shows give their gear heaps and this year the team from the Offroad Adventure Show have some new camper trailers in tow. These tough little units are the Overlander GT and Overlander GTS from Hard Korr Campers.

We spoke to Alicia from the show to find out how they went.

Q: How did you find the Korr campers to tow?
A: I actually towed both the GT and the GTS on the trip, mainly because the Patrol has some overheating issues so I gave Borgy the larger of the two. Both trailers towed really well, they are compact enough to get through the tough tracks yet have enough weight to them that they feel solid on the road behind you and they don’t wander.

Climies Track Tassie – Not camper Friendly

Q: How are they offroad?
A: I’m not lying when I say we gave these campers hell, especially on the Climies track, even Borgy who was promised a 6 pack if he didn’t scratch his camper ended up with no beer! The campers have good underbody clearance and not much of an overhang front or rear which means they followed us through pretty much everything.

Q: How about cooking facilities?
A: These campers have one of the best kitchens we have cooked on, there is so much bench space and the gas cooker puts out plenty of heat. We used the webers a fair bit and its handy to have a camper with a weber slide built in! Even the sinks are a good size to make sure washing up isnt to hard. Oh and the fridge slide fits even the biggest fridge so thats awesome!

Q: Did you sleep in the campers? Lets be honest most TV shows just hang out in hotels yeah?
A: Absolutely, I moved in! I lived out of the GTS for 2 months straight. All my clothes were packed in and all my gear. We dont get hotels often! The bed was my favorite bit, plenty of room for me to stretch out and honestly the setup and pack up werent a drama. 15 mins to setup and about the same for packup
