Bendix launches new Ultimate+™ Disc Brake Rotors with SwiftCheck™

Bendix’s premium Ultimate™ Sports & Performance Disc Brake
Rotor range has been enhanced with the addition of SwiftCheck™,
the company’s industry-first visual wear indicator.
Introduced in the award-winning* General CT™ Disc Brake Rotor
range last year, the adoption of the innovation across the Ultimate™
range – which is now named Ultimate+™ – provides a fast and
convenient visual indicator of rotor wear, letting motor trade
professionals estimate remaining rotor life without the need to
measure rotor thickness, allowing them to decide on part
replacement.
The feature also provides added convenience and peace of mind for
vehicle owners, who can inspect the rotors themselves and take
appropriate action if needed, such as when preparing for an
extended driving holiday or similar.

SwiftCheck™ is a machined feature that creates circular grooves on
the rotor surface that narrow and disappear progressively as the
rotor wears. Once the wear indicator displays a singular dot in the
centre, this indicates it’s time for the rotor to be changed.
Along with the convenience factor, the Ultimate+™ range features
high carbon metallurgy, providing superior stopping power and
reduced wear, while also delivering improved thermal stability that
reduces brake fade and warping under extreme braking
temperatures.
The rotors are also equipped with Diamond Tip slots – these are
specifically designed with unidirectional configurations, along with V-
shaped dimples, which assist in dispersing hot gases, dirt and water,
leading to more consistent braking.
As well as enjoying heightened braking performance, owners can
rest assured that Ultimate+™ Rotors have been manufactured based
on original equipment specifications for size, diameter and stud
pattern spacing, making them the perfect fit for both performance
and long-term reliability.
New recyclable packaging with a clever twist
Like the General CT™ range, the new Ultimate+™ Sports &
Performance Disc Brake Rotors also adopt FSC™ Certified exterior
packaging, which is suitable for curbside recycling.
For ease of installation, the rotor box also contains illustrative fitting
instructions, which should be used along with vehicle specific
information provided by the OE manufacturer. Additionally, the
packaging has been revised to allow easier handling thanks to the
introduction of ‘Easy Lift’ finger holes. These are pre-punctured
holes that allow each box to be picked up more ergonomically.
Bendix’s new Ultimate+™ Sports & Performance Disc Brake Rotor
range is available to suit a wide selection of both late and early
model passenger cars and four-wheel drives, including high
performance homegrown models from Holden and Ford (plus HSV
and FPV), Japanese ‘fast fours’ and selected Audi, BMW and
Porsche models.
