Bendix grows brake pad range for Land Rover Defender
Bendix U4WD 4WD-SUV Brake Pads: There are now more variants available from Bendix’s 4WD/SUV™ and Ultimate 4WD™ ranges to suit the L663 Land Rover Defender.
When it comes to off road vehicles, few have the pedigree of the Land Rover Defender, and since the release of the new generation L663 platform, Bendix has been working to expand its product range for this iconic nameplate.
The latest Bendix product releases introduce more disc brake pad options for the L663 (from 2019 onwards) Defender, including from Bendix’s popular 4WD/SUV™ range as well as the Ultimate 4WD™ line-up.
Variants within both the 4WD/SUV™ and Ultimate 4WD™ ranges have recently grown to include rear options for Defender models, while additional front 4WD/SUV™ pad variants are now also available.
Bendix’s 4WD/SUV™ range is specifically formulated for 4WD and SUV use – both on and off road – and provide excellent low noise and dust performance as well as reduced brake fade at higher temperatures.
For even greater performance there’s the Ultimate 4WD™ disc brake pads which are engineered for extreme conditions and hardworking 4WDs; they also feature Bendix’s premium Mechanical Retention System (MRS) for improved pad attachment strength, and a high-tech ceramic formulation that provides low dust and noise.
LR Defender 1: The latest Bendix brake pad additions are designed to provide Defender with additional braking performance in both on and off road environments.
More options for Patrol and Rodeo
This month also saw Bendix expand brake pad options for the tough Y61 Nissan Patrol (4.8L I6 models), with new front axle brake pad variants from the 4WD/SUV™ and Heavy Duty™ ranges being released. In other great news, the Ultimate 4WD™ range has expanded to now include Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Shoes for Holden Rodeo (RA 2003 to 2008).
Additionally, Bendix has introduced a Heavy Duty™ replacement pad option for its Big Brake Upgrade Kits. The Heavy Duty™ product is a multi-purpose pad designed for hard working vehicles that often tow or are used in other demanding applications. They offer longevity in high temperature conditions by working cooler for longer.
Y61 Nissan Patrol: The Bendix range has also expanded with more options for the tough Y61 Nissan Patrol, in particular, 4.8L I6 models.
Commercial vehicle releases
In the truck space, Bendix has also expanded its Protrans™ HD line-up with new front axle variants to suit Isuzu NQR (NQR70 and NQR75) from 2003 onwards. And there are also new options for DAF, with Protrans™ HD extended to cover LF55 models from 2001 onwards.
Bendix’s Protrans™ HD line range is designed for high demand applications and start and stop driving such as what’s experienced by delivery trucks in metro and urban traffic. This range features a heavy-duty formulation designed to cope with the elevated temperatures found during constant braking conditions and under full GVM.
A further benefit of ProTrans™ HD disc brake pads are their low wear performance, leading to extended servicing intervals. And for convenience and ease of installation, all required hardware is included in each kit, making them ‘ready-to-fit’ for technicians.
