The mighty Tvan has been a trusted and respected camper trailer model for over 20 years. Yep, it’s been around the traps for a heck of a long time, but what’s even more impressive is it has continually been refined into the masterpiece we see here today. It’s a light weight, super tough, high performing bit of gear, so we thought we’d give you lot a closer look. Strap yourselves in for this one, folks!

PULLING UP STUMPS

Perhaps one of the most lovable features of the Tvan’s design is its multitude of configurations. If you just need a super quick bed for the night, you can have your head on a pillow in about 30 seconds flat. Of course, if you’ve got plenty of time and you want the whole kit and caboodle the full set-up will satisfy the fussiest of elaborate campers. In fact, the Tvan has 8 individual set-up options to suit a whole magnitude of different situations. Let’s face it, a one size fits all approach doesn’t cut the mustard when it comes to real world adventures!

CLEVER THINKING

The Tvan has a distinctively unique design. You get all the convenience of a hard floor camper, like the guarantee of a solid base that keeps you up and out of the mud and provides plenty of living space. Then there’s the solid walls and roof over your head thanks to the fully insulated sleeping cab. That means there is no canvas to flap around and keep you up all night when the wind is howling, and the bed will stay dry and clean when you pack up, even in wet conditions. The cabin area, which is aptly nicknamed the “strong box” also incorporates twin roof hatches for air flow and stargazing and gives you the ultimate sense of security as you slumber. Its unique unitary design provided uncompromised structural strength and accommodates a 120W solar panel.  

CHEFS DOMAIN

The Tvan’s cooking quarters have been refined over time to absolute perfection. The slide out stainless steel unit is simple and easy to access for those typical roadside stops, and wants for nothing else. The build quality is top notch, and the componentry used is second to none. But it’s overall practicality of the whole assembly that really amazes us here. Things like the built-in wind deflectors, or the pragmatic 65L pantry that is accessible from either side of the camper make cooking up a feast an absolute pleasure. And guess what? We’re only talking about the standard kitchen! Yep, if you want to kick it up a notch you can opt for the premium version!

WHAT’S IT GOT?

In terms of gadgets, gizmos and features the Tvan is a one stop shop! You see, all the electrical goodies are located in the interior command console (ICC). That’s right, all of its electrical options are integrated into one neat package, with a very fitting name might we add. 

The ICC is where you will find the switches for your interior fans, lighting and stereo, along with multiple USB and 12V outlets. The 25A DC -DC charger (or upgrade to 40A) along with the Projecta 12-240V inverter are also houses here, but more importantly the overall the installation job is neat and tidy overall.
