DRIVE-IN CONCERTS BRINGING FOUR WEEKENDS OF LIVE MUSIC BACK TO REDLAND!

Following the success of the first Drive-In Concerts Live event in July, organisers are thrilled to announce four more weekends’ of socially distant live music in beautiful, bayside Redland kicking off on Saturday, 12 September and featuring the legendary Russell Morris, upcoming Country superstar Casey Barnes and guitar legends Kevin Borich and Kirk Lorange as well as some of Queensland’s top tribute bands across the 8-night program.

The first Drive-In Concerts Live event in July ticked all the boxes and featured Russell Morris, The Soul Movers and Masters of Pop to rave reviews from the audience, including:

“Awesome concept, and even better reminders & memories & good
times of what music brings to all. Couldn’t stop smiling …”
 – Suzie & Geoff Droughton

“It was a fabulous event to listen to live music while social distancing.
Way to think outside the box!!” – Tara Bell

“Awesome considering the circumstances we are living in. Great way to still see good music. I’ll definitely go again” – Jo Ann Thomas

The new concert series will have a new location, moving from Cleveland Showgrounds to a more weather friendly location at the Bayview Conservation Staging Area, 503 German Church Road, Redland Bay.

Organisers are working closely with all relevant government agencies to ensure all necessary regulations in place at the time will be complied with to keep fans safe. Tickets will be linked to a registered number-plate with occupant numbers in that car linked to the number-plate and on site food, drinks and artist merchandise will be able to be ordered through our website for contact-free delivery to vehicles on show day.

Michael “China” Walker from John Paul Young’s Allstar Band is the driving force behind Drive-In Concerts Live with a whole lot of help Redland City Council and music industry lawyer, Matt McCormick.

“When we walked on stage for our first drive-in concert, we didn’t know what to expect and we were a bit nervous as to how this would go. It didn’t take long to throw all those fears out the window. We ALL had such a good time – audience and bands alike. Just like Russell (Morris) and Murray (Cook) told me, can’t wait to do more!” said China Walker.

The full line-up and dates are listed below. Hi res photos and band bios can be downloaded from here.

Fans are reminded to only buy tickets from the official ticket agents listed below so as to avoid “reselling” sites such as Viagogo who typically advertise heavily online and often mislead consumers into paying much higher prices than necessary.

Tickets to all Drive-In Concerts Live are limited and on sale NOW from driveinconcerts.live.
